Dear Daylily Friends,

The time has come to make the announcement that we have been working toward ever since Damond's sickness began in the Fall, but also the one I have been dreading. As of today, we will no longer be accepting orders. Our commercial garden stock has been sold and will be moved to Ohio in the Spring. We will be posting their info soon. All orders received already are reserved and will be filled at the proper time in the Spring.

We are keeping a very few favorites and all our Munson daylilies. I don't think I could bear to not have any daylilies. We won't be putting out any more catalogs, but hopefully will be able to list a few Munsons on the LA as they multiply enough.

We planted our first daylilies in 1989, with no thought of selling anything. We just loved them and wanted to add every one we saw or heard of. Sound familiar? Well, we did just that, and soon had more than we had a place to plant, so we started selling from the yard. This helped to keep the numbers down for a time and then we knew we would need to expand into mail order. To do this, we would need a price list. I had never had a typing lesson in my life, but I ordered a typewriter from Service Merchandise for 169.00. Damond had a fit because he knew I had no idea how to begin to type a price list. Well, I learned, all by myself and published my first price list. Then came my first computer and the Internet! This opened a whole new world that I never knew existed. I was amazed that it was possible to communicate with and get to know other daylily people from all over the US.

The word got around and we built a large customer base, which we are so grateful for. We strived to treat our customers with the same integrity and fair measure that we expected from those that we bought from.. We hope we have succeeded in all things. We will miss the wonderful relationship with our customers. Memories abound...We reflect back on all the visits, calls, emails, Open Garden days and will keep these memories in our hearts forever. We do appreciate each and every one of you!

May God richly bless and keep you in his love is our prayer!
